Removable dentures can be the best option to replace some, or all, of your teeth, when a more permanent solution like dental implants or bridges are not possible. Our aim is to always make your dentures as functional and natural looking as possible. We work closely with you to ensure they look and function just how you want them.
What’s involved in the treatment process?
Removable dentures sit around your existing teeth and gums. Where required they can be stabilised and retained with dental implants. Making good quality, well-fitting dentures is a complicated process and so it is important to have confidence in the dentist you choose to make them for you. There are several steps (usually at least six appointments) in the denture making process to make sure the outcome and stability of the denture is perfect.
We work closely with you at every stage of the denture creation process, to ensure that the denture is comfortable and that you are happy with the overall look.
Your removable dentures are made from either a combination of metal and acrylic or just acrylic. During the consultation we will discuss with you which option best suits your needs. Metal and acrylic dentures can be more expensive as they require more work to produce but also last longer.

Dr Preeyan Patel is registered as a Specialist in Prosthodontics who is passionate about clinical excellence alongside a high level of patient care. Preeyan completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice at UCL (2013) and became a Member of the Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (2014), whilst also maintaining a presence in general practice in Buckinghamshire.
In 2017 he successfully completed a Masters in Prosthodontics (MClinDent) with Distinction at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute and was awarded the UCHOSA Prosthodontic Prize. Preeyan was also awarded the Gary Pollock Clinical Prize by the British Society of Restorative Dentistry in 2017 and achieved the distinguished Membership in Prosthodontics (MPros) with the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2018.
Alongside the high-quality specialist care Preeyan provides to patients in practice he also delivers training and guidance to postgraduate dentists on the Specialist pathway in Prosthodontics.
