Dental implant training for the General Practitioner
We are passionate about supporting the General Dental Practitioner in their treatment planning discussions with patients, providing current, evidence based information about dental implant treatments and sharing our knowledge of implant restorative techniques with those who are keen to develop a new skill set.
To achieve our aim of finding the best ways to support the general dental practitioner, we have developed various resources including:
- Regular Study Groups
- One to one in practice mentoring
- Video training tutorials
- Telephone treatment planning discussions
Our recent Implant Study Group meeting was very well received, participants said that they ‘enjoyed an informative, relaxed and fun evening'.
'Definitely enjoyed the presentation, following discussions and feedback.' - Sarah Lloyd-Jones, Oakthorpe Dental
'Great evening that expanded on our recent ‘Lunch and learn’ event. Regular study group is a great idea!' - Catherine Peers, Wheatley Dental Practice
'Great evening!' - Jessica Maquire, Chalbury Dental
'I enjoyed it immensely..... Very relevant for a change and also very glad you valued my input as a professional. I will attend future study meetings and really look forward to it, many thanks indeed!' - Diane Stevens, James Green:D3 Dental Practice.
'As a total beginner to implants - I didn't feel too out of place and the evening was really interesting. There was a good mixture of people there and the talk about CBCT was informative and well presented - even on my level! A big thank you to all involved in the organisation!' - Lynda Raybould, Perry House Dental Sugery
'I have referred patients to Audley Dental Solutions for the past 5 years. I have always found Audley Dental Solutions efficient and helpful and my patients have always been very satisfied with the treatment which they provides. I have attended a number of study evenings covering various topics organised by Audley Dental Solutions and have found them both informative and enjoyable. The venues for these evenings are always great and Chris and Jane provide a relaxed and informal atmosphere which allows for stimulating discussions and sharing of ideas and experiences with the other attendees. I would thoroughly recommend Chris as a 'safe pair of hands' to treat my patients, and I value greatly the opportunities has has provided in return through his study evenings.' - Clare Edwards, Park Street Dental
'Implants are quickly becoming the mainstay of aesthetic dentistry however most dentists don’t get the chance to learn about implants and how they can change their patient’s lives. These events give everyone the chance to be involved in the referral process and provide a platform for discussion around treatment options with a great group of referrers all learning together.
The last event held at Weston-On-The-Green had a guest speaker coming in to discuss CBCT scanning and how this new technology is used as part of the patient journey, right from being able to show them where the implant will be placed in their own jaw through to bespoke bone grafts custom-made to fit that patient.
The chance to learn about all these advances in dentistry, be more confident discussing implants and understanding what the patient will be getting from their implant treatment are a few of the reasons why I believe these events are invaluable.' - Dean Watson, Dentsply
We plan to host Study Group meetings 3-4 monthly and are busy planning the next event, please do join us!
We have successfully mentored several dentists through the development of skills in modern implant restorative techniques. If you would be interested in one to one mentoring please contact usto discuss how this can be accomplished.
